Terms of Service
Last updated: November 4, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Vicarious Virtual Ventures, a sole proprietorship at 10107 Jasper Ave, Edmonton, AB T5J 1W8, Canada ("VRAdvertisements", "we", "us").
They apply to this website and to the advertiser and creator services described below. By creating an account or using the
services you agree to them. If you're accepting on behalf of a business, you confirm you're authorised to bind it.
1. What VRAdvertisements does
VRAdvertisements sells advertising space on posters placed inside virtual reality worlds on the most popular VR social platforms players use.
World creators place our poster in their worlds. Advertisers book time on those posters, and we show their approved
static image ads in the posters' rotation for the days they booked.
Advertisers pay a flat price for poster time, fixed when they book. We do not sell traffic, visits, clicks, views,
followers, likes or any other engagement, and we don't promise any number of players will see an ad. We may report
how often posters were seen, but those reports are information only. They never change what an advertiser pays or what
a creator earns.
VRAdvertisements is independent and isn't affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any VR platform.
You must also follow the terms and guidelines of each platform you use.
2. Accounts
- You must be at least 18 and old enough to make a binding contract where you live.
- Give us accurate information and keep it up to date. You're responsible for everything done through your account, so keep your password safe.
- One person or business may hold both an advertiser and a creator account, but you may not book ads on your own posters to generate earnings.
3. Advertisers
3.1 Bookings and prices
- A booking is a set of posters for a set of whole days (UTC). Each poster's day is split into a fixed number of rotation slots, and a booking takes one slot on each booked poster for each booked day.
- The price is shown before you confirm and is calculated from the number of posters, the number of days and the published day rate for each poster's world tier. It does not depend on how many players see your ad.
- When a poster has no booked ad in a slot, it shows an artwork image chosen by the world creator or, if the creator prefers, a generic VRAdvertisements ad.
3.2 Payment
- Advertising is prepaid. You add funds to your account balance by card through our payment processor, Stripe, and the full price of a booking is deducted from your balance when you confirm it.
- Prices are in the currency shown at checkout and exclude any taxes we are required to collect, which are added where applicable.
- Your balance can only be spent on VRAdvertisements bookings. It isn't a deposit, earns no interest and can't be transferred.
3.3 Cancellations, credits and refunds
- You can cancel a booking any time before its first day for a full credit to your balance. Once a booking has started it can't be cancelled.
- If a booked poster becomes unavailable during your booking (for example the world is removed or the poster is disabled), we credit your balance for each affected poster-day.
- You can ask us to refund an unspent balance to the original card within 12 months of the top-up by contacting us. We refund unspent funds in full. Amounts already spent on bookings that ran can't be refunded.
- Credits for unavailable posters are your only remedy for a poster not showing your ad.
3.4 Ad content
- Every image is reviewed before it runs, and we may decline or remove any ad at our discretion. Changing an image sends it back for review.
- Social VR audiences include teenagers, so we don't accept ads for alcohol, tobacco or vaping, gambling or betting, cannabis or other drugs, weapons, adult or sexual content, dating, cryptocurrency or other speculative financial products, or political or issue advocacy.
- Every image shown on a poster must be safe for work. That includes ads, supporter images and a creator's own poster image. No swearing or crude language, nudity, sexual content or innuendo, suggestive poses, graphic violence or gore, or hateful or harassing content, even when the world is marked mature.
- Ads must be lawful, accurate and not misleading, and you must hold the rights to everything in them. You grant us a licence to store, resize, re-encode and display your ads on posters for the purpose of running your bookings.
4. World creators
4.1 Posters and worlds
- Each poster has a private key. Use it only in the world you registered it for and keep it private. We may revoke a key that is shared, misused or used in an unregistered world.
- A world must be verified by us before its posters can carry booked ads. You must own the world or have permission to place the poster in it, and you must describe its content honestly.
- You grant us permission to serve ads into your posters and to show your world's name and category to advertisers.
- If you add trigger zones or tracked objects to your world, you are responsible for telling players in your world that interactions are measured, in line with the platform's rules. Zone and object reports are information only and don't affect earnings.
4.2 Earnings
- You earn your revenue share (shown in your creator profile) of the booking price for each day a booked poster in your world was available. Earnings don't depend on how many players view the poster.
- Earnings are held for the period shown on your Earnings page before they can be paid out, so we can correct mistakes and act on breaches of these terms.
- We may withhold or reverse earnings tied to a breach of these terms, including fake or misrepresented worlds, posters that aren't actually placed in a world, or keys used somewhere they weren't registered.
- To receive a payout you must complete payout setup with Stripe (section 4.3). You can take your time: earnings keep accruing while you do. But if your account goes twelve consecutive months without being accessed and you have never completed Stripe payout setup, any earnings not yet paid out are forfeited and you waive any claim to them. "Accessed" means you signing in to your account; automated requests from a world running our SDK do not count. Before earnings are forfeited we will try to reach you at your account email.
4.3 Payouts through Stripe
Payment processing services for creators on VRAdvertisements are provided by Stripe and are subject to the
Stripe Connected Account Agreement,
which includes the Stripe Terms of Service
(together, the "Stripe Services Agreement"). By agreeing to these terms or continuing to operate as a creator on
VRAdvertisements, you agree to be bound by the Stripe Services Agreement, as Stripe may modify it from time to time.
As a condition of VRAdvertisements enabling payment processing services through Stripe, you agree to provide
VRAdvertisements accurate and complete information about you and your business, and you authorise VRAdvertisements
to share it and transaction information related to your use of the payment processing services provided by Stripe.
Payouts are only available in the countries listed on the Payouts page. You're responsible for any taxes on your earnings.
5. Things you must not do
- Send automated, scripted or fake requests to our servers or posters, or try to inflate or manipulate any report.
- Interfere with the service, probe it for vulnerabilities without our written permission, or access accounts or data that aren't yours.
- Use the service for anything unlawful, to advertise anything excluded in section 3.4, or to put an image on a poster that isn't safe for work as section 3.4 describes.
- Resell bookings or poster space without our written agreement.
6. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect
from account holders and from players who encounter posters, trigger zones or tracked objects, and how it is used.
7. Suspension and termination
You can close your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or close an account, pause bookings or withhold
earnings if we reasonably believe these terms have been broken, if required by law or by our payment processor, or to
protect players, advertisers or creators. When an advertiser account closes, we refund any unspent balance as described in
section 3.3, unless it is tied to fraud or a breach of these terms.
8. Disclaimers
The service depends on third-party platforms we don't control. Any platform may change, block or stop
loading external images at any time, players may have settings that prevent posters from loading, and worlds can be
removed by their owners. Apart from the credits in section 3.3, the service is provided "as is" and "as available",
and we disclaim all other warranties to the extent the law allows, including any promise of audience, reach or results.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for
lost profits, revenue or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amounts you paid
us, or we paid you, in the 12 months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.
10. Indemnity
You agree to cover our reasonable costs and losses from claims by third parties arising from your ads, your worlds, or
your breach of these terms.
11. Changes
We may update these terms. We'll post the new version here with a new date and, for material changes, tell account
holders by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Bookings already confirmed keep the price they were confirmed at.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [province or state, country], and the courts of [city, province or state] have
exclusive jurisdiction, except where the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.
13. Contact
Questions about these terms, refunds or your account can be sent through
the contact page.
